Seminar dedicated to wireless technologies, organized by the member of Wireless Ukraine – PAN- Wireless – with the support of Proxim Wireless, participant of WiMax Forum, and Winncom Technologies was held on March 27 at the Institute of Aviation Technologies.
The General Manager of PAN-Wireless – Alex Silvestri – in his opening remarks emphasized that on this event the company represents the Proxim Wireless’ equipment being relevant for the Ukrainian telecommunication market after the opening of new bandwidths.
Oleg Sobolev - the Executive Director of Wireless Ukraine – stated in his report that this year Association of members of wireless data networks market will introduce the series of events – seminars, conferences and exhibitions – dedicated to wireless technologies. PAN-Wireless Company – one of the most active members of the Association – enters the domestic market with very perspective solutions.
According to Neil Metcalfe, Commercial Director of PAN-Wireless, Proxim Wireless’ equipment is very attractive for the Ukrainian market due to its cost-effectiveness.
Larisa Tsytsura, Regional Director (Russia and CIS-countries) of Proxim Wireless in her speech reported to the participants about new solutions of the company which would appear on our market in the nearest future. “Proxim Wireless works in close cooperation with Intel. Now we offer the solution based on 802.16-2004 standard but after new Intel chips appear on the market in the 3d quarter of this year, we will be ready to supply products of 802.16-2006 standard (mobile WiMAX)”.
The topics about WiMAX, pre-WiMAX, MeshMAX, Mesh and Wi-Fi mixed solutions were also covered on the seminar. MeshMax solutions may appear to be the most popular in Ukraine now. They are accessible and easy to realize considering newly-opened bandwidths.
After three opening reports the audience divided into two parts: one participated in the sales training, including business-planning and sales strategies, another – in technical training with testing of new equipment and services.
Nearly 80 participants were present on the event – operators, holders of licenses for corresponding bandwidths.
It should be told that, at the same day the results of the tender for receiving of 5.4 GHz licenses were resumed. These licensees might be ones most interested in the equipment represented on the seminar.
